Charles “Chuck” Evans is a native of Augusta with family roots in Columbia County for over one hundred years. Chuck’s personal and professional life reflects his pursuit of education and a commitment to public service
After graduating from Augusta College, now Georgia Regents University, Chuck received a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from Georgia Southern University. Afterwards, he studied law at Cumberland School of Law and Walter F. George School of Law. After receiving recognitions for academics, he graduated from Mercer University with a Juris Doctor degree. Chuck’s pursuit of higher education in multiple fields assists him in providing a variety of legal services to his clients
Public service is at the core of the practice of law and Chuck has demonstrated a willingness to help the public throughout his life. First, as an Eagle Scout, and then as a law enforcement officer, Chuck has eagerly sacrificed his time and talent for our community. After years of service to the courts of our area as a State Probation Officer and Assistant District Attorney, he was appointed by Georgia Governor Sonny Perdue to serve as the Solicitor General of Richmond County, Georgia. As Solicitor, Chuck administered an office of over thirty employees who prosecuted tens of thousands of cases each year.
Chuck’s record of service to our community continues in his private life. He currently participates or has recently served in the following roles:
